The history of FBT begins on 4th March 1963 in an artisan laboratory in Recanati, Italy
In 1996 we opened the company's current headquarters which spreads over 12.000 sq. mt. With the first FBT acoustic speakers made of polypropylene with gas moulding technology, 1999 has been a revolutionary year. In the following year, 2000, the Maxx series marked a turning point.
Ten years later the company faces professional audio with the production of the first line arrays, giving birth to the Mitus series.
Meeting new international opportunities, FBT Audio UK (based in the United Kingdom) is incorporated on January 1st 2012.
In 2015 there is an internal reorganization of the company production in 3 product lines "Touring and Install”, “Portable sound” and “Audio Contractor”.
2020. We have never stopped investing in R&D. This year we presented two major innovations. The pinnacle of FBT, the Myra line array system dedicated to major live events revolutionizes the FBT Touring in the proaudio. In the same year we internally developed INFINITO - System Management Suite, the software for monitoring and controlling networked audio, that features the MUSE and HORIZON VHA series.
60 years later
More than half a century of passion and technology have made the initial design of Bruno Baldoni and Vinicio Tanoni a work of art in continuous evolution. Following the leadership of Vinicio, today it is his sons Bruno and Mauro who, always immersed in this reality, with care and dedication continue the commitment of the management. What began in 1963 in Recanati as a simple artisan workshop has become, after 60 years, an international emblem of Italian innovation.
To celebrate this milestone, on 7th September 2023 at the company’s headquarters was held a commemorative event with guests of excellence that involved more than 500 participants including authorities, employees, customers, retailers, Italian dealers and international distributors, arrived in Recanati from all over the world.
We are excited to celebrate our 60th anniversary. Thank you to everyone who has supported and inspired us throughout these years as we embark together on exciting new ventures.
